Job description
Adecco Worcester are looking to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment Officer. This is a site-based covering 2 sites, reporting directly into the Head of QHSE. The HSE Officer will support the Head of QHSE to create, communicate and drive a robust and interactive HSE culture throughout the company, positively impacting on preventing accidents and incidents whilst contributing to the achievement of objectives and targets. The HSE Officer will continually work to understand industry best practices and act as a champion for developing internal processes accordingly.
Key Tasks:
- To maintain and further develop the Environmental Management system.
- To support the Head of QHSE in developing an effective and robust Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
- Build a HSE culture to drive performance improvements.
- Be the focal point for all aspects of HSE.
- Identify training requirements and deliver training regarding Health, Safety, and the Environment.
- Investigate, report and document all accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Undertake internal audits to ensure compliance with HSE and ISO standards.
- Ensure corrective and preventative actions are identified and completed in a timely manner whilst lessons learnt are communicated.
- Take ownership of Risk Assessments, COSHH Management, and Safe Systems of Work whilst ensuring visitors and contractors are operating safely whilst on site.
- Maintain data to track progress against company KPI's.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- The ideal candidate will be an experienced HSE Officer within a manufacturing environment.
- NEBOSH Certificate - NVQ Level 3 minimum.
- Experience of working with ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018 Management Systems.
- Internal Auditor qualified.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
