Job Title: Senior Engineering Manager – Engineering Function (NXGen)

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide leadership, management, and vision in order to deliver the people capability required by the reshaping of the future ways of working introduced by the development of a full digital thread capability for Submarine design and build
• Lead on all business change activities including stakeholder identification and engagement, influencing throughout all levels within the business, implementing change into wider business practices by means of developing a robust communications strategy and plan, both for the new ways of working as well as for each capability release
• Manage the team delivering the digital thread training strategy and plan, ensuring programme alignment with NX release schedule, Siemens ‘Advantedge’ process, collaboration with other CAM areas, initially focussed on the Engineering community but also covering wider stakeholder groups affected by this shift
• Lead the Engineering requirements capture and development for the BCCR programme, ensuring future skills and experiential learning requirements are considered, and provisions are made for the development of these in the master site plan (including the Portland Walk Campus) and UoC modern campus facility
• Manage the UK/US information exchange for People Capability within NXGenDigital
• Deputise for the Control Account Manager for CAM BULD within NXGenDigital
• Enable the Engineering future skills strategy within the context of the NXGenDigital programme by driving actions through to completion to deliver skills required for the programme

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Suitable degree in STEM / Business Management or related subject, or relevant suitable experience leading business change / transformation
• Previous experience of identifying and implementing process improvement
• Proven experience of project planning and stakeholder/relationship management

Desirable:

• Confident with Microsoft Office Packages; Word/Excel/PowerPoint
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Proven background in complex change programmes/management of change

The NXGenDigital team:

As a Senior Engineering Manager you will be responsible for business change, communication, benefits realisation, and training. Associated with a new design toolset, you will enable the delivery of the SSNA Programme. As well as the customer and key suppliers, you will also work with all other functions within the business.
