About this role
An opening has arisen for an experienced Integration Developer to join the Integration Delivery Team in IT Services, that is establishing an Integration Centre of Excellence (ICOE).
The team is responsible for the application development and application maintenance of our core integration technologies - primarily SSIS and webMethods. The integration team is responsible for over 700 integration jobs maintaining data links between our core, internal and external systems. Implementation of solid, reliable integration is key to the success of IT projects at the University.
The University will be implementing a new integration/middleware environment by mid-2024.
The role involves working with business users and IT colleagues to define integration requirements, implement solutions based upon our core integration technologies. Primarily, this will be within Microsoft SSIS, SQL and Oracle database stacks. A detailed understanding of a broad range of integration approaches and technologies is essential for the role.
Our team supports a large number of batch and real-time interfaces driven from our SSIS, webMethods & Calopus tools. These include connecting our systems via Web Service, SQL, API and file-based integrations. There will be a new integration platform by mid-2024 for which training upskilling will be required once technology is finalised. You will be a key member of the "Centre of Excellence" that is being established - applying architectural principles, systems, process flow, governance and BAU service design standards.
Integration is core to most projects IT Services undertake at the university, and assignment to a range of ongoing projects will form a part of the role. The work will also include providing day-to-day support and development to our existing suite of integrations in BAU space.
