Job description
What you will do in your working day
- Through using interpersonal and communication skills provide a professional and knowledgeable response to people and a range of professionals who contact the service
- Resolve in a courteous and timely way the range of queries received by Gateway to Care
- Make onward referrals where appropriate or provide directly access to some services within Gateway to Care
- Provide support with screening for Support at Home, support in making appointments and with making onward referrals
- Proficient user of IT to maintain up to date records and input information to adult social care and health system
- Provide a customer focused service, always maintaining a professional manner, including when difficult situations arise
- Form links with voluntary agencies and community groups to ensure better outcomes for people keeping information and data bases updated
- Support colleagues with photocopying, minor admin roles
The training you will be getting
- Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Customer Service Specialist qualification
- Workplace Learning
- Provided with a 1:1 Tutor
- Day release learning
- Online and in person classes
- Functional skills in maths and English if required
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
At the end of the apprenticeship programme, it is anticipated that you will be employment ready, and will be given the opportunity to apply for any available permanent employment opportunities within Adult Services or across the Council.
