School Chef | Croydon
Salary £20,000-23,000
Permanent, term-time only (38 weeks per year)
8:30am to 4pm Monday-Friday
We are currently working with a great school in Croydon who are seeking a School Chef to join as soon as possible!
As the School Chef, you will be preparing and cooking meals as set out in the school termly menu while providing and maintaining a high standard of catering for the extended school programme.
School Chef Summary: - Prepare and cook all meals as set out in the termly menu.
- Provide and maintain a high level of catering for the school programme.
- Provide a well-balanced and nutritional catering service considering dietary/allergy needs and specific dietary requests.
- To ensure that the catering service runs efficiently with food being ready at the required times.
- To provide catering for all School functions (e.g Parents events, open days etc).
- Assisting the Office Manager in menu planning.
- Improving the menu options for the school.
- To liaise with staff and generate their input into product development.
School Chef Requirements: - At least 12 months experience as a Chef in a School is desirable.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 essential.
- Successful experience of providing high quality customer service
- Passion for working in a school environment.
