Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Civil Litigation Locum for a well-established law firm based near Exeter in Devon.
The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with current practicing certificate and with recent proven experience on all Civil Litigation matters.
The role will be a mixed caseload of lower value high street civil litigation cases to include contract disputes, consumer disputes, debt claims, property and residential landlord and tenant. The role is to cover a Solicitor on Leave but could be longer term, Initially the client would be looking for a 3-6 month commitment. An ability to undertake other areas of civil litigation work such as employment would be useful. The successfully candidate must be willing to take on new matters as well as acting on the existing caseload, to include more complex property matters. Potentially long-term assignment.
This role would be mostly office based (near Exeter) initially, however would be open to a more flexible hybrid arrangement after the initial 3 months.
The role is paying a competitive hourly rate.
