Responsibilities:
- Drafting, prosecuting, and managing patent applications in the field of biotechnology
- Conducting thorough patent searches and providing insightful analysis
- Advising clients on patent strategy, portfolio development, and enforcement
- Collaborating with inventors, researchers, and legal teams to identify patentable inventions
- Handling oppositions, appeals, and other contentious matters before relevant patent offices
- Staying current with industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory changes
Qualifications:
- A qualified attorney with a strong academic background in biotechnology or a related field
- Dual qualification as a Patent Attorney in multiple jurisdictions
- Proven experience in drafting and prosecuting biotechnology patent applications
- In-depth knowledge of global patent laws, regulations, and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
