K&D is delighted to be supporting an award-winning company in High Wycombe!! The position is for a Production & Warehouse Manager supporting the Operations Director in the daily running of the company!
The main purpose of the role? To manage and plan all production activities and resources for the Manufacturing site.
What the client is looking for? Someone who has managed a team between 10-30 staff, ideally someone who can work in a strategic manner, who is used to dealing with & implementing change finding solutions & ways to increase efficiencies.
Ideally, someone who has experience in production and resource planning, someone who has a methodical mind who is used to taking a strategic view on daily output, efficiencies & margins.
Who you will be working with? 3 direct reports across the manufacturing team, production planning co-ordinator & the Warehouse team.
40-hour week, core business hours are Monday -Friday 8-5 salary 40-45K, 23 days, (3 taken at Xmas) your birthday paid as leave!
What you will be doing? Driving the development of team culture, developing individual goals and objectives to support the company’s strategy, and agreed-on production targets. You will also be required to produce monthly reports to show performance against agreed targets.
Overview: Reports directly to the Operations Manager. Undertake the management and planning of all production activities and resources to ensure customer demand is met for finished goods. Be line manager for all company Administration, Engineering, Cleanroom, and Warehouse Staff. Manage on a day-to-day basis all employee issues, including cleanroom hygiene, discipline, absence, housekeeping, motivation, and morale.
Drive development of a team culture; set and monitor individual/team goals and objectives that support the Company Business Strategy and agreed production targets. Produce monthly reports to show company performance against agreed targets – work with the Operations Manager to set and refine these targets.
Drive a philosophy of continuous improvement and efficiency to meet agreed targets – work with Engineering, Quality, and Cleanroom staff to determine the best method of working for production processes to facilitate productivity improvements.
Work with Buyer to ensure components are delivered and received on time to meet production requirements; engage with suppliers as required i.e. facilitating transport of components.
Work with the Quality Department and the Manufacturing Engineer to action and close all company-related NPR and CAPA in a timely fashion. Work with the Quality Department to manage a training program that delivers appropriately trained new staff, and a trained flexible workforce to meet the demands of the business, ensuring all records are kept up to date.
Work with the Quality Department to ensure all Non-Conforming Product is suitably controlled, labeled, and segregated.
Be responsible for all component stock on the ERP system and in the warehouse; approve the disposition of scrap and reject components. Be responsible for ensuring minimum levels of consumable stock are maintained. Undertake monthly stock take of both component and consumable stock with the Warehouse Operator and Production Administrator.
Provide cover for Production Administrator functions as required. Arrange disposal of solvents and other controlled waste.
Work within the Company’s Health & Safety Policy. Work within the Company’s cleanroom procedures as required, including gowning and handwashing (SOP57 and FC147) Undergo training to meet the Company’s requirements.
