My client, a leading FMCG business based in Wakefield are looking to recruit an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee their Transport and Warehouse functions.
Job Description
As Logistics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimising supply chain operations. You will be responsible for seamlessly integrating warehouse and transport functions to ensure the efficient flow of goods from production to distribution.
- Warehouse Management:
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and space utilisation.
- Implement best practices to enhance warehouse efficiency and minimise operational costs.
- Lead a team to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and organisation within the warehouse.
- Transportation Management:
- Develop and execute transportation strategies to meet delivery timelines and cost targets.
- Collaborate with carriers and logistics partners to optimise routes and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Ensure Fleet compliance is to highest level for companys own vehicles
- Monitor and analyse transportation KPIs to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience as a Logistics Manager in both warehouse and transport functions within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics software, and industry regulations.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- International CPC and IOSH qualified
- Live within a commutable distance of Wakefield
