Job description
We are seeking to appoint a native level Spanish-speaker to work with GCSE and A Level students to develop their confidence and skills in oral communication, alongside supporting them in other areas such as grammar. In addition, to these language assistant duties the role includes teaching two classes a week.
Previous experience either teaching or supporting teaching staff would be advantageous, as would a recognised teaching qualification. Duties include the preparation of course material, and other resources to support pupils in their studies, therefore experience strong IT skills with a wide range of media is essential. Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate resilience, be well organised and flexible with the ability to promote an atmosphere that reflects and references the Spanish culture, traditions and current affairs.
The timetable includes 16 periods per week as Language Assistant and 4 periods per week (2 classes) Spanish teaching.
