HEAD OF SIXTH FORM
TMS/TUPS + TLR 1B
START DATE SEPTEMBER 2024
We require a Head of Sixth Form to lead all aspects of post-16 provision, working with the Headteacher & Leadership Team to ensure students continue to be afforded the very best Catholic education.

The Head of Sixth Form supports students’ mental health & wellbeing with high quality pastoral care and guidance, including leading whole school CIAG, and leads promotion and marketing to attract internal and external student recruitment. Curriculum development in recent years has increased our Year 12 intake to 130 students, with an anticipated total sixth form roll of 260 from September 2024.

The successful applicant will demonstrate ability to further strengthen our Catholic mission, adapt to change in education policy, and display the following credibility, competence and expertise.
· Serve as a role model to motivate and inspire students, displaying a caring, sympathetic nature and maintaining high expectations in pursuit of high spiritual, moral and academic standards.
· Ability to plan implementation of new courses in collaboration with Heads of Department and the Leadership Team.
· Confidence and credibility in presenting to staff and to our parent body.
· Ability to employ leadership strategies to inspire and motivate, eliciting trust & confidence from colleagues as well as from parents & carers.
· Proficient use of data to implement support & intervention to raise attainment.
· Ability to track and monitor attendance, behaviour & attitudes to affirm success and address underachievement, where necessary advising Heads of Department and Form Tutors.
· Good management and organisation.
· Ability to shape whole school improvement through monitoring, support and expectation.
