UK date and time: 16-February-2024 17:44 Applicant Options New Search Login Job Details Help Terms of Use & Privacy Policy Job Details Postdoctoral Research Assistant DPUK Department of Psychiatry, Warneford Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7JX We are looking to appoint a postdoctoral research assistant to join the Dementias Platform UK (DPUK) team to work on a HORIZON funded linked research programme on psychosocial and comorbid disease (neurodegeneration) implications of the Covid-19 pandemic. The post is based in the Psychiatry Department, University of Oxford, at the Warneford Hospital. The post is for a fixed term (funded for 36 months) and is full-time. Reporting to Associate Professor Sarah Bauermeister, you will work closely with European colleagues and manage your own academic research, administrative activities and small-scale project management. You will adapt existing and develop new research methodologies and materials as well as preparing working theories and analyse large cohort quantitative data from a variety of sources, reviewing and refining theories as appropriate You will have or be close to the completion of a PhD in a relevant health or medical sciences subject and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the health/medical science discipline to work within research programmes. You will have excellent English communication skills, including the ability to independently write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research network at meetings. Evidence of excellent longitudinal large dataset/cohort analytical experience and experience of machine learning methods (ML) and combining multiple methods for validation and confirmation (e.g., multi-level modelling and ML) are essential. A background in epidemiology and experience of working on Covid-19 related projects would be desirable.
