WHAT TO EXPECT
Aligned with the Reimagine Strategy; Solihull Plant is preparing for the introduction of BEV on the MLA platform launching the world’s first fully electric Range Rover. It will be an intense period of activity for Solihull Operations and an exciting opportunity to become a Proud Creator of Modern Luxury.
As a key member of Trim & Final team this role will (using Agile methodology) support a seamless launch into the facility.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities :
- Prioritise and manage the Product Backlog, ensuring it is transparent and relevant.
- Create and distribute the station readiness roadmap to the squad.
- Assess, value, and prioritise stories to ensure work focuses on maximum value that is aligned with launch gateways and trial builds.
- Support the squad with identifying and discussing interdependencies with other squads to ensure work is synchronized where possible.
- Identify and communicate squad related risks, issues and opportunities to the wider T&F team.
- Knowledge and understanding of how their area delivers value to the wider manufacturing team.
- Identifying, understanding and influencing key Stakeholders, balancing their needs with those of the Customer.
- Ensure the voice of the Customer is heard at the squad level and obtain regular feedback.
- Supporting Squad Members and squad Scrum Master with day-to-day duties, helping to address impediments and drive productivity.
- Undertake Creator’s Conversations with Squad Members, providing motivation and constructive feedback for growth and development.
- Participate with other Product Owners to share best practises, learnings and to celebrate the community.
- Strong communicator with the ability to clearly convey status, vision, goals, and the priority of backlog Items, to both Squad Members and the wider ecosystem.
- Track KPI's and Master Schedule deliverables to ensure any gap to target is identified, communicated and escalated.
- Training and development of Product Coaches
- Ensure all Associate training is completed to Quadrant 3 with versatility targets achieved for Job 1.
- Validate Bill of Process and identify risks/issues via MMF and / or 5F process.
- Ensure the quality standard is achieved and actively lead problem solving where required.
- Support the management and maintenance of site-specific
- Working practices such as Work Element Sheet (WES), Step Repairs, Master Schedule, 5s, Automated Issues Management System (AIMS).
- Work on internal and external quality metrics and contribute to the development of action plans for the continuing achievement and maintenance of quality standards.
- Contribute to the achievement of the Integrated Production System, Manufacturing Quality Operating Standard and Launch Quality Operating System processes.
- Conduct containment reviews to aid the implementation of permanent part, process and engineering fixes.
- Update, maintain and communicate workgroup objectives through the use of workgroup boards.
- Ensure unauthorised attendance targets are achieved through disciplined approach to absence management.
- Supports associate and team development with responsibility of completing training logs for team / group workshops.
- Provide day to day supervision and support to the operational team in the completion vehicle production and to ensure scorecard metrics such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Environment are met.
- Comply to Health and Safety procedures by ensuring all safety metrics are achieved, including identifying safety hazards and risks and ensuring corrective action implemented and ensures the team receive appropriate training.
