Job description
What you will do in your working day
- We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and positive individual with good work ethic. The successful candidate will be kind and caring towards our children, staff and families.
- You will take part in providing enriching activities for children and will work alongside the team with supporting key children.
- You will need to be able to work well in a team and use your own initiative.
- To Support when needed during trips/walks around the village ect.
- To help always ensure Preschool meets Ofsted requirements with support.
- To undertake any reasonable duties as directed by senior leadership team and Preschool Manager.
- To assist with record keeping ensure registers/accident forms/risk assessments are filled in appropriately.
- To help support children with SEN needs following guidance from PLP plans.
- Attend staff meetings when required and contribute.
- To complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship.
- Gain positive relationships with the children in the setting and their families/carers.
- Contribute to planning and share own ideas with the team.
- To support children who need extra support during circle times.
- To know and adhere to the settings operational and safety policies and procedures.
- To carry out and record children’s observations in accordance with the requirements of the EYFS framework and as instructed by the Service Manager
The training you will be getting
Level 2 Early Years qualification. If when assessed, you are at a higher level- we may put you forward for a Level 3 Early years qualification.
Maths and English level 2 if required.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
After the completion of the apprenticeship we may have a full time position to offer but this is not confirmed.
