Job description

What you will do in your working day

Nature of Work: In this varied role you will be:

• Assisting and supporting the assembly and manufacture of electronic products.
• Manufacture of electronic components (pcb's), sub-assemblies, final assemblies to specification from drawings.
• Develop a knowledge of engineering drawings, wiring run outs and electrical schematics.
• Learn soldering, crimping inspection, diagnostics & test.
• Wiring, loom assembly, reading diagrams, cable terminations, connectors and case assembly, component identification and kit building.

Training will be onsite at Interface Manufacturing and at SIGTA in Eastbourne.

At SIGTA: Monthly training: Three weeks – one day per week, fourth week is two days – Years 1 & 2.

The training you will be getting

Engineering Fitter L3 Apprenticeship Standard - This will include on-site training at Interface Manufacturing and day release to SIGTA.

On completion of the apprenticeship, you will have achieved the following qualification;

Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
Level 3 Engineering Fitter Standard

The final apprenticeship completion certificate will be issued on achievement of the above qualification and successful completion of final end point assessment.
