Job Description:
As a Senior Motorsport Sub-Assembly Technician at Venture Engineering, you will play a crucial role in our mission to deliver top-quality motorsport components to our clients. You will be responsible for assembling, testing, and ensuring the quality of sub-components that are integral to the performance of high-performance vehicles. Your work will directly impact the success of motorsport teams and drivers worldwide. You will be a strong leader who understands the importance of establishing and maintaining a good team identity, able to motivate others and you will have meticulous attention to detail, and strong customer focus.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sub-Assembly:
- Perform sub-assembly tasks on motorsport components, including powertrain systems, suspension systems, and other critical parts.
- Follow assembly instructions, technical drawings, and specifications with precision to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Ensure that all components are assembled to the highest standards and in compliance with safety and performance regulations.
- Asses / dictate the best order of build tasks, to ensure build tasks are carried out to the correct quality, to track and report on build task progress towards ensuring deadlines are met, to plan build tasks for the next day.
2. Quality Control:
- Conduct thorough quality control inspections on sub-assembled components.
- Identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies in the assembly process.
- Document and report any issues or improvements related to sub-assembly procedures.
3. Testing and Calibration:
- Assist in the setup and calibration of testing equipment.
- Conduct performance tests on sub-assembled components to ensure they meet performance specifications.
- Troubleshoot and address any issues that arise during testing.
4. Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of assembly processes, test results, and quality control checks.
- Update and contribute to the development of assembly and testing procedures as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to provide feedback for continuous improvement.
