VACANCY: Welder
LOCATION : Rotherham S60 (Close to Meadowhall Sheffield)

We have invested in an extensive range of technology and equipment and provide services to a range of OEMs from leading industries including defence security construction quarrying recycling and rail.
Our inhouse capabilities include large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking CNC Precision Machining Fabrication & Welding Shot Blasting Painting and final Assembly.
Tasks
We are on a recruitment drive for a number of experienced Welders to join our operations. You will perform welding activities on a wide range of components in carbon steel armour steel aluminium etc You will master a variety of techniques and work alongside others to create finished products. The majority of the work will be MIG welding where your dexterity and handeye coordination will help to make welds clean and precise.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Perform welding activities on a wide range of components in carbon steel armour steel
- aluminium etc. and other metals as may be required from time to time
- Required to weld various joint configurations in all positions in a competent manner
- Ensure equipment parameters are set to the optimum to fully satisfy weld quality integrity
- and WPS requirements
- Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded
- Satisfy production schedules to the correct quality level and within the specified time scale
- To adhere to No Fault Forward policy
- To work as part of a team to produce customers orders on time by strictly adhering to the
- production schedule
- Carry out and record the daily / weekly / monthly maintenance checks and record the necessary safety checks
- Ensure correct marking up of component parts
- Ensure that the labelling system is adhered to
Requirements
ABOUT YOU:
- Recent / relevant Welding / Fabrication Experience
- Understanding of quality procedures and specific customer requirements
- Ideally a coded welder
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures
- Proficient with metal fabrication tools
- Advanced mathematical and engineering skills
- Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas
