Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Manager to oversee a complex Energy and Utilities programme.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end delivery of the programme, ensuring its successful completion within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Lead the planning, implementation, and execution of the Energy and Utilities programme.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with programme objectives.
- Establish clear and measurable programme goals and KPIs to track progress and performance.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation to support programme delivery.
- Monitor and report on the programme's progress, identifying risks and issues, and taking proactive measures to address them.
- Manage programme budget, expenses, and resource management to optimize cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the integration of technology, infrastructure, and regulatory requirements into the programme delivery.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide regular updates on programme milestones, achievements, and challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices to enhance programme delivery and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout the programme lifecycle.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field
- A Practitioner level Programme Management qualification (MSP or similar)
- PRINCE 2 foundation level (or similar) qualification
- Dynamic leader with a passion for driving large-scale transformation
- Proactive, strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of the large-scale programme landscape while delivering impactful results
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Highly proficient in MS Project
- People management skills - introducing and building ways in which people can learn from each other, encouraging mentoring and the transfer of knowledge by designing and delivering learning interventions
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to engage stakeholders and drive alignment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage risks, dependencies, and constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining strategic focus and driving results
- Proven experience managing complex programmes, ideally within Energy and Utilities, with a strong understanding of industry dynamics, challenges, and best practices.
- Experience with all stages of the product development lifecycle (concept to launch)
- Consulting experience preferred.
- Need to be flexible to travel to London as required.
