Job Title: Residential Support Worker for Children with Additional Needs (Ages 6-19)

Job Type: Full-time, including weekends

We are seeking an experienced Residential Support Worker to join our team and play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for children with additional needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, helping children develop essential life skills, and fostering a sense of community within our residential setting.

Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day care and support for children aged 6-19 with additional needs.
Create a safe and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of each child.
Implement individual care plans, ensuring the specific needs and preferences of each child are met.
Foster positive relationships with children, their families, and external professionals involved in their care.
Engage in recreational activities and educational programs to enhance the overall development of the children.
Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
Requirements:

Proven experience working with children, preferably in a residential care setting.
Knowledge and understanding of the additional needs of children aged 6-19.
Ability to work weekends as part of a rotating schedule.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Relevant qualification in childcare, social work, or a related field.
