Job Description
- Job Title : Sample Reception Technician
- Job Type: Permanent
- Hours : 37.5 hours per week
- Job Location : Cambridge - Bar Hill
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sample Reception Technician to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will be the first point of contact for our samples, ensuring they are properly received, logged, and prepared for analysis in our laboratory.
Main Purpose of Role
- Responsible for logging samples in the laboratory onto our booking in system in accordance with customer and company objectives.
- To ensure samples processed are prioritised within the workload, to help the laboratories maintain the time sensitivity of the products.
- Promptly inform the senior staff of any difficulties that may impact on KPI’s in order to ensure remedial action is taken and/or customer expectations are managed.
- Complete tasks on a daily basis, as assigned by senior staff.
- Complete compulsory training when required.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Software, and general computer practice
- High focus on precision and accuracy
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to adopt a flexible approach to work and react effectively to a rapidly changing environment
- GCSE grade A to C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Full driving license for use in the UK.
