Job description
A global brand which creates and supplies entertainment hardware and software packages worldwide is now seeking a Design Engineer to join their team. A company that prides itself on innovation is offering the successful candidate the opportunity to design complete solutions, with varied, complex components in a variety of entertainment industries.
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will invent, create and design entertainment solutions with electro-mechanical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic components that work together to provide market-leading experiences to venues across the globe. You will also partake in scope changes to ensure existing product ranges fit with customer requirements, working with applications engineers and fitters to offer solutions.
Create, draw and contribute concept ideas for new products and existing products.Prototype manufacture and testing.Work closely with Project Managers to meet all design deadlines.Communicate with installation and production team to ensure any issues or queries are resolved.Ad hoc design work – non-project-based work.Standard drawings control – issuing new drawings and controlling changes to current standard drawings.Site visits when required.To be successful in the role of Mechanical Design Engineer, the ideal Candidate will:
Possess excellent attention to detail due to short manufacturing lead times.Be able to work as part of a team and independently.Enjoy working in a busy exciting environment.Produced drawings in Solidworks.Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to build relationships quickly.Good understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances.Experience in the use of FEA/stress analysis.Benefits:
