A fantastic career opportunity has arisen for a creative and driven Building Physics professional to join our Sustainability Group. The role can be based at any of our UK offices, with teams based in London, Bristol, Bournemouth, Cambridge, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Oxford and Plymouth that support the firm across the UK as well as our expanding international work.
We provide a diverse sustainability consultancy service for a range of projects, across all sectors, promoting sustainable development. As a Design for Performance Pioneer Delivery Partner, we adopt an outcomes-based approach to building performance simulation and design.

The role
As a building physics consultant, your day-to-day tasks will vary. We’ll expose you to all aspects of our work so you can discover what suits you. You could produce detailed designs and drawings, use the latest computer modelling software, undertake site surveys, or research ground-breaking technologies. Communicating will span all of these, as we regularly liaise with project teams, meet clients or end users, and attend collaborative meetings. You will be promoting sustainability and doing energy analysis and modelling. You will also undertake research and development, and environmental assessments.
What we are looking for
• Master’s degree in a sustainability-related subject
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• A friendly, ambitious and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach
• Familiarity with 6-Sigma, Ansys Fluent and Open Foam.
• Experience with data centre CFD, pedestrian comfort and safety wind assessments using City of London guidance is beneficial
• Scripting capabilities are desirable but not essential.
• Understanding of 2D/3D thermal bridging calculations using Therm.
