PRODUCTION TEST ENGINEER - INSIDE IR35 - VIA UMBRELLA - £25.31 PER HOUR - CAN START ON BPSS - 12 MONTHS - BOLTON - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS
Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Production Test Engineer to work an initial contract for 12 months from our client's site over in Bolton.
Responsibilities: As the Production Test and Diagnostics Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting production tests and diagnostics of complex weapons at System and Subsystem levels.
- Testing complex electronic equipment and diagnosing production test failures down to the component level.
- Identifying corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure continuous production in line with the program.
- Providing technical support to Test Operators to facilitate efficient throughput of Prime hardware during production.
- Assessing related Test Equipment issues and directing support services to resolve equipment failures.
- Evaluating technical problems to develop proposals for investigations and corrective actions, including process improvements.
- Representing Test Engineering at Defect Review Board meetings to ensure efficient progress of equipment and quality notifications towards corrective action.
Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate should have:
- HNC/HND (Electronics) Level of Qualifications or equivalent, plus a substantial level of experience in Digital and Analogue Electronics Manufacture and Test.
- A good understanding of measurement and test principles and equipment.
- An understanding of RF and Microwave technology at the subsystem level (advantageous).
- Good planning and organizing skills.
- Communication skills, with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Manual handling training.
- ESD training.
