Job description
Pearson Carter are currently working with a company in the Aviation Industry who provide bespoke travel experiences for their clientele. They are seeking a passionate Quality Analyst to join their tech team in the UK. The position will involve the creation, automation and execution of test strategies for a variety of software products (web applications, mobile apps and system integrations) working alongside their software developers and project managers in UK, Italy and USA.
Responsibilities
- Create test strategies for specific features, making sure there’s enough test coverage and boundary conditions are covered.
- Write and execute test cases as part of verifying software tickets and approving the release of features.
- Propose and implement test automation in order to reduce the testing effort.
- Perform capacity tests by stressing features that are expected to run under high workload.
- Manage existing software products by participating in application support alongside Software Developers.
- Work with Project Managers and Product Managers to refine requirements for new features.
- Advise and support colleagues where your software quality expertise is suitable.
- Keep abreast of advancements in technologies and testing techniques.
- Interact with all departments and end users, building long term relationships that will facilitate achievement of common goals.
Experience
- 3+ years as a software developer or software quality related role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 2 additional years of equivalent work experience.
- Solid understanding of software testing strategies.
- Experience working with Agile methodology.
- Experience in testing and delivering front-end web applications and services/APIs.
- Experience in testing and delivering system integrations, cloud services and the migration of legacy applications is beneficial.
- Knowledge of microservice architecture and testing of restful web services.
- Working knowledge of testing tools for web applications written in Angular / TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of test automation for restful web services.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software as necessary.
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
- Candidate should be self-motivated, independent, and exhibit relationship management skills.
- Passionate about building high-quality systems with focus on the end user experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills that promote and foster a team culture.
- Possess excellent organizational skills, and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Must possess the legal ability to work in the United Kingdom.
Salary + Benefits
They offer an excellent salary of £50,000 pa as well as many benefits.
Location
The company has an office based in Farnborough where you will be based twice a week.
