Finance Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join the team and responsibility for the day-to-day transactions for the Chapter of the Cathedral and Limited company.

Position: Finance Officer

Location: Chichester

Hours: Full time – 35 hours per week

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

The Role

Along with the day-to-day transactions for the Chapter of the Cathedral and Limited company, you will also be responsible for administering payroll and support the preparation of the monthly management accounts and annual budget. You would work closely with the Finance Manager, the Chief Finance Officer and the two Finance Assistants who make up the finance team.

The Cathedral is at an exciting time in its history. Next year it will welcome a new Dean and in 2025 it will celebrate its 950th history. It’s a time for new beginnings

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have the equivalent of AAT level 4 by qualification or relevant experience and a good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills. You will have experience of double entry bookkeeping and managing a payroll system.
