Development and Housing Directorate. Preston is at an unprecedented stage in its development. With over £40m of Towns Fund and Levelling Up Fund grant, major leisure and public realm projects underway, a new commercial quarter planned at Preston station and the ongoing implementation of the multi-award-winning City Living Strategy alongside the delivery of thousands of new homes and major infrastructure investment and delivery through the City Deal, Preston has developed a new confidence for positive change.

This is an exciting role within the City Growth & Regeneration team, at the heart of major transformation of the city.

The Principal Project Manager will play a leading role in successfully delivering the Council’s ambitious regeneration programme by providing effective and efficient project management support to senior officer and the delivery teams. 

We are looking for someone who is educated to degree level with previous experience in project managing and delivering on complex economic development projects, regeneration programmes and initiatives to agreed deadlines and within set budgets.

You will be organised, independent and self-motivated but have the ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team.
