French Teacher for our Middle School

Job description

Innovative, curious and future-orientated. The Klax School in Pankow is a state-recognised and bilingual all-day school. From the first to the thirteenth grade, we work according to the internationally recognised concept of Klax pedagogy. The focus of the school is on art and digitalisation. We learn in projects and teach very successfully with the learning management system MS Office 365 Teams. We are proud to have won second place in the German School Award in 2021.

To strengthen our future-oriented team, we are looking for a French teacher in a permanent position from 01.09.2024.

Your tasks:

Teaching French in the middle school.

Liaising with the parents of pupils in the classes taught.

Participation in conferences and school events.

Co-operation with colleagues in the teaching staff and participation in the subject group of your own main subject.

What you need:

A degree in teaching with French as a subject or an equivalent qualification leading to a Master's degree.

Experience in school work, preferably at all-day and community schools, preferably at public schools.

Very good communication skills and experience in working with parents

Identification with the values and principles of a pedagogy that focuses on the individual development of the child

Didactic and methodological diversity in the classroom

Experience and enjoyment of working with digital media

Business fluent knowledge of German (CEFR at C1) and English.

Commitment, creativity and strong communication skills paired with a natural authority.

A university degree in education and/or the QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) qualification.

Without these qualifications, we cannot consider applicants for employment, regardless of their experience. Certifications such as TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) or CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) do not fulfil our recruitment criteria.
