CMSPI is at the forefront of transforming the payments industry, and our Data & Product team play a vital role in the development of our CMSPI platform that helps us deliver unmatched savings to merchants globally. We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to guide the agile practices of our engineering and product teams.
Role Overview
As the Scrum Master, you will actively manage all aspects of planning and delivery across the three core workstreams of our data & analytics platform. Your role will ensure that the team operates to a consistent cadence of planning, demonstration, and stand-ups.
You will facilitate and coach the team on Agile delivery, promoting a focus on continuous delivery, feedback, and improvement. Your role will proactively manage communication between workstreams, and to the wider business, ensuring a clear value stream map between business objectives and planned tasks.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the cadence of software delivery across the various workstreams of our payment intelligence platform.
- Facilitate engagement between workstream leaders and business stakeholders, with a focus on requirement and priority alignment.
- Actively manage and communicate the scope, timeline and commitments of the team with the wider business.
- Facilitate sprint planning sessions across all workstreams.
- Ensure that backlogs and sprint boards are consistent and up to date at all times.
- Promote and advise the use of consistent estimation techniques across workstreams.
- Ensure that the team have a continuous focus on user story refinement, evolving business requirements into tangible features and stories.
- Run a daily stand-up across workstreams, encouraging the team to raise and address issues and blockers to their progress, enabling them to maintain high velocity.
- Maintain an accurate and consistent view of team performance metrics such as capacity, velocity and accuracy. Ensure that the team update their tasks on a daily basis, enabling an accurate view of progress.
- At the end of each sprint, facilitate a demonstration of delivery progress, ensuring attendance of key stakeholders, when appropriate and compile a management report of delivery progress.
- Facilitate sprint retrospectives, ensuring there are a clear set of observations and adaptations ahead of the next sprint.
- Coach the team across all workstreams on effective use of Agile and implementation of changes identified in retrospectives.
