Job description
We are looking for a Home from Home Coordinator with experience of selecting, handling and rehoming dogs in a working environment to lead our Home from Home foster scheme.
Our Home from Home scheme provides care in the homes of volunteers for dogs that are struggling in our Rehoming Centres and will benefit from short term foster care.

About you:
You'll be a confident communicator (written and verbal), able to deal with sensitive and challenging situations in an appropriate manner ensuring the best outcome for our dogs and volunteers. We’re looking for someone with a positive and proactive attitude, with experience of handling and rehoming dogs in a working environment. Administrative skills, including use of MS Office and computerised systems, as well as organisational and time management skills.

About the team:
Our rehoming centres house thousands of dogs each year until they are able to find a loving new home and the success of our centres wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated team of staff and volunteers; there is a real family-community within each of our centres. Come rain or shine, our team are out in all weathers to make sure the dogs have the best possible life. Dealing with thousands of visitors each month, our rehoming centres are the face of Dogs Trust and we pride ourselves on our staff providing the very best in customer service.
What you need to know:
A full, clean, manual driving licence is essential, as driving will be a part of the role.
Working times are Monday to Sunday on a rota basis, including weekends, 8am-5pm (subject to change and will be discussed during interview).
Please note this role is being offered as a Fixed Term Contract maternity cover, ending November 2024.
