Job description

As we continue forward on our journey of growth, OCU Group are currently looking for Substation Site Managers and Site Supervisors with previous experience of working on Substation projects, to work on a number of new Electrical and Civils Substation contracts and projects in the West London, Oxfordshire and M4 Corridor to Swindon areas. The scope of work incorporates Substation Build and Refurbishment, Cabling and Overhead Line work from 11 – 275 kV.

Responsibilities

• Site Management of staff and Subcontractors
• Producing safety documentation and briefing where required, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits and Toolbox Talks
• Quality Inspections and completion of Inspection and Test Plans
• Ordering Plant and Materials
• Collation of documents and As Built Records
• Cost and Programme Management
• Management and Supervision of Temporary Works
• Record Keeping and report writing.
• Client liaison and coordination/interface
• Perform any other duties appropriate for the role.

Skills & Experience

• SSEN Cat 3 Authorisation/UKPN Substation Entry/National Grid CP and Persons preferred.
• Recognised Electrical Qualification
• CSCS/EUSR card
• Temporary Works Co Ordinator
• SMSTS/SSSTS
• First Aid at Work
• IT Literacy in Outlook, Word, Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability present to mixed audiences
• Excellent time management, organisation skills and able to work to deadlines.
• Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
• Ability to prioritise own workload and manage expectations.
• Attention to detail.
• Driving License
• Willingness to Lodge away when required.
