Job description

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive to join our Sales team within the Gasworks Hotel- formally Radisson Blu. We are currently undergoing a hotel refurbishment and this role will be pivotal in telling all the good news stories and building relationships with key stakeholders within Belfast and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a sales’ driven background within the hospitality industry.

Who We Are

We are a 4-star full-service hotel located within the city centre of Belfast. The Gasworks Hotel – formally Radisson Blu, is a recent addition to the iNua Collection and we are passionate about people and delivering memorable experiences. Our city centre location appeals to a variety of guests such as Corporate and Leisure. We have 120 bedrooms with a range of conference and events spaces. Our restaurant – The Gasworks offers daily dining.

Role Overview

This is a new and exciting role to us. We envision you will be the key person for proactive sales, paramount to building upon relationships & driving a culture of sales within the hotel. You will bring passion and enthusiasm as we undergo a refurbishment. With a planned rebrand to a premium hotel brand not seen on the Island of Ireland – voco an IHG Hotel, it is an exciting time to join the team and build relationships with our stakeholders to maximise sales opportunities and revenue. You will be paramount to the success of this.

Please note this is a 6-month fixed term contract, with an opportunity of extension. We will also consider applicants on a part time basis as we are flexible employers.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Taking a Proactive sales approach with appointments, to meet weekly and monthly targets.

- Attendance at relevant trade shows and representing the hotel at local networking events, maximising industry exposure.

- Being responsible for the success of Pro-active telesales campaigns whilst building relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.

- Sales lead generation in conjunction with other hotel departments, building a proactive sales culture within the hotel.

- Analysing competitor activity by researching relevant competitors with the view to sourcing new business.

- Monthly reporting of sales calls, production and sales pipeline to include administrative duties as necessary.

- Assisting our Director of Sales and Marketing with implementing our sales and marketing plan.

- Maintaining positive lines of communication with our client, presenting the hotel in a professional, positive, up to date and consistent manner.

- To maximise guest satisfaction and increase sales by achieving high levels of guest recognition and follow up.

- To ensure that every effort is made within the department to promote the hotels within the iNua Collection.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

· You will have a proven track record of direct sales to include experience within the hospitality industry.

· You will be enthusiastic and have a proven track record of proactive sales.

· You will be sales focused with experience working in a result driven environment.

· You will have strong communication skills and be confident with presenting to a range of clients and groups.

· Strong industry knowledge
