Transparent is proud to support this highly reputable business in this piece of recruitment. Overseeing a team of 5 and reporting into the MD, you will oversee all financial aspects of the business as well as drive the company’s financial strategy and planning.

This role would suit a dynamic and driven individual who is not only capable of managing and developing the finance team and taking overall responsibility for all financial aspects, but also someone who is looking to get involved in the business itself as a true finance business partner to the shareholders.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Driving the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance
• Setting targets for, and supervising/developing the accounts team
• Overseeing and reviewing budgets for each business department
• Assisting in the company-wide budgetary planning
• Monitoring cash flow and other financial transactions
• Preparing timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly basis
• Conducting analysis to create forecasts and reports to senior executives
• Statutory payroll/pension returns
• Compliance with financial standards and guidelines

The Person:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Proven experience in a senior finance capacity, ideally within an SME
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
• A strong commercial acumen with strategic abilities
• Excellent organisation and leadership skills
• Solutions-driven and proactive
