Job description
Our client, who offer facilities management services within Stockport, are keen to hire a Communications and Engagement Assistant. The position will involve producing company communications, including print and digital media, to relay clear and targeted messages to 750 + employees. The main purpose will be to ensure communications are relevant to the audience and the content consistently meet the standards required.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a communications role and of writing copy for different audiences. It is essential you have knowledge of design software systems, along with a strong understanding of MS Office. Any copywriting skills for print and social media, experience of blogging/vlogging or graphic design skills to create promotional material would be an advantage.
The role is paying up to GBP30,000pa, and offers great benefits, generous holidays, and the opportunity for further professional development.
What will you be doing as a Communications and Engagement Administrator?· To produce company communications, including print and digital media, ensuring communications have targeted messages that are clear and accessible for the appropriate audience
· To raise the company profile by ensuring communications are relevant to the audience and the content consistently meets Company branding standards
· Work with internal teams to develop, review and edit new and existing content for company communications, including management communications, articles for the Company newsletter and content for social media channels.
· Increase employee engagement by utilisation of employee champions, working with HR, face to face contact with employees, etc.
· Develop, review and edit complex communications as required (e.g. press releases, publications, social media posts)
· Responsible for maintaining content and driving traffic to the company website and executing social media strategies; including production of reports
· Prepare presentations and reports for all levels; including employees, and Senior Management
· Create dynamic written and graphic content that raises awareness of the company and promote content through search engine optimization (SEO)
· Administer the Company social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant platforms
· Act as the first point of contact for queries and feedback regarding Company communications, including administration of a structured response process
· Compile regular reports on the effectiveness of print and social media communications
· Use timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for social media channels while adjusting schedules where necessary to optimize visits
· Support the business in delivering media projects, events, and communications for workplace community involvement
· Support the delivery of company events, both internal and external
· Representing the company to raise the profile of the company within the public and in the local community

· It is essential you have knowledge of design software systems, along with a strong understanding of MS Office

· You must be well organised with a strong attention to detail and have the ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure, within a fast-paced office environment.
An understanding of media relations and digital media strategies would be preferred
· Functional knowledge of social media platforms, google analytics, etc
· Excellent communication abilities
