Job Title: Land Manager
Location: Home Based/ Remote
Salary: £350.00 - £600.00 Per Day
Contract Length: 6 Months
Our client is the Distributed Energy (DE) and Private Networks business of a leading energy company. They finance, own, operate, and maintain energy infrastructure for commercial, industrial, and residential customers, providing them with market-leading project development services and certainty of operational performance and asset management.
The Role:
- Working within the Land, Planning, and Consents Team, you will manage the delivery and negotiate the terms of options, leases, purchases, and agreements for land, wayleaves, easements, and highways permissions to enable the delivery of large and complex projects across Distributed Energy.
- Support Business Development at the point of land origination and the Project Delivery Teams who have overall responsibility for the development and delivery of our projects at differing stages in their life cycle.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Represent the company in agreeing commercial and legal terms with landowners and land agents.
- Specify scope of works and appoint and manage external consultants to support the Project Delivery Teams.
- You will report into the Head of Land, Property, and Consents and work closely with the Business Development and Project Delivery Teams.
For this role, we would love you to have:
- Likely to be degree qualified, you will be working toward or be a recently qualified member of RICS.
- Experience in the negotiation of leases, options, land acquisition, easements, and wayleaves across either rural, residential, or commercial sectors.
- Previous planning and development experience.
- A good working knowledge of relevant Landlord and Tenant legislation.
- Experience in the renewables sector is preferred.
- Resilience and enjoyment working at pace, with the confidence, capability, and independence to deliver the required outcomes.
- A can-do attitude and expected to identify land and planning-related risks and develop proposals to mitigate them to secure deliverable projects.
- Self-sufficiency but enjoy working and delivering within a team environment.
