Job Title: Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (Early Years)

Location: Shepherds Bush, London

Working Hours: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm (Monday to Friday)

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting the development of young learners? We are currently seeking a Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join this Early Years team in Shepherds Bush. This role involves working closely with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), providing crucial support during their formative years.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supporting Inclusive Learning: Assist in creating an inclusive and supportive environment within the Early Years setting, ensuring that all children, including those with SEND, have equal opportunities to learn and thrive.

2. Personal Care: Provide personal care assistance, including nappy changing, to children with specific needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the school day.

3. Collaborative Work: Work closely with the class teacher and other teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) for children with SEND, adapting activities and resources as needed.

4. Observation and Reporting: Monitor and record the progress and behaviors of children with SEND, providing regular updates to the SENCO and other relevant team members.

5. Communication: Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular feedback on the child's progress and collaborating on strategies for continued support.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities.
• Understanding of early childhood development and knowledge of effective strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to undergo relevant training as required.
