Working Hours: Part-Time (3 days), Hybrid Working – In Person Committee Meetings
Venn Group’s specialised legal team are in collaboration with a
Council based in the East Midlands in the search for an experienced
Locum Democratic Services Officer. This is a part-time position where you will be a member of the team handling the Organisations’ democratic processes.
Duties may include:
- Attending meetings, taking notes, and liaising with officers and external bodies
- Implementing decisions through correspondence, reports, and collaboration
- Maintaining records of Council, Cabinet, Panel, and committee minutes
- Preparing service meeting with electronic prep of agendas, reports, and minutes
- Dealing with all administrative tasks arising from meetings and ensuring decisions are communicated to those responsible for implementation
- Undertaking research and investigation into matters relating to legislation, government guidance
- Arranging Council and committee meetings, ensuring all statutory meetings comply with legal and constitutional requirements
This post is part time (3 days per week), on a hybrid basis offering up to £30 per hour Umbrella.
