Axcis is working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in Chippenham to recruit a 1:1 teaching assistant working with a student in KS1 who has ASD. The school has beautiful grounds and encourages the children to take part in growing fruits and vegetables during the summer months. The working hours for this role are between 8.30am to 3.30pm and the hourly rate of pay is £13.39 (£87.04 per day).
There is excellent potential for progression in this school, with many staff being taken onto permanent contracts after a short period of supply work. You will be a role model, mentor and daily support to the child you will be working with. The ideal candidate will be kind, patient and have a talent for making the class work more engaging for the student using an extra flare of creativity. If you have previous experience of working with individuals with similar kinds of needs and are available on a full time long-term basis then don’t hesitate to apply!
