Job description

Our client is seeking to recruit an Assistant Director – Risk and Operations , Guernsey.

Overall purpose of the role:

The successful candidate will assist the Director and Deputy Directors to manage the Risk team and oversee a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts.

The position requires pragmatic decision making and an ability to clearly communicate and engage with key stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear understanding of a risk based approach and a high level of technical understanding.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Assisting with the introduction, or amendment, of guidance notes, rules, policies and procedures relevant to the work undertaken by the division.
• Overseeing the provision of risk based training to all new joiners. Overseeing any refresher training as required.
• Sitting as a member of Risk Governance Panels.
• Overseeing the preparation of management information from the Risk team.

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant previous experience of working in a similar role.
