Job Description

The Assistant Management Accountant will be a proactive team member to provide management accounting and reporting support to the Senior Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners. This position will ideally suit someone with a minimum Level 4 AAT qualification, or studying for their ACCA/CIMA, with prior experience in a similar finance role. The role will involve a wide range of duties including:

• Accurate preparation and analysis of month end office management accounts
• Analysis of team performances within offices
• Aged debtors, accrued income and lock up analysis
• Assist local offices to resolve issues/queries on operation of systems
• Post accruals, prepayments and deprecation journals
• Credit card reconciliations
• Assisting the senior Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners with adhoc reports and special projects
• Overhead Analysis, provide explanations for any significant overhead trends/variances to prior months/run rate
• Preparation and analysis of Utilisation reporting
• Staff entertainment reporting
• Fixed asset review and register maintenance
• Process multicurrency journals
• Preparation and analysis of annual budgets for the segment
• Assist in cleansing and reconciling data in preparation of new system implementation

The Successful Applicant

The successful Assistant Management Accountant will ideally have experience in a similar finance role, or be looking to step up into this more challenging position. The individual will ideally have:

• Intermediate Excel and advanced report creating skills
• Demonstrates satisfactory and relevant technical finance knowledge
• Previous experience in a similar accounting role
• Able to work under pressure and keep to tight month end deadlines
• Minimum level 4 AAT qualification or studying ACCA/CIMA
