A Vacancy at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse position on Rainbow Ward (Childrens) in Scarborough Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking charge of the ward in the Ward Managers absence and managing their own allocation of patients whilst on shift. They will be expected to ensure patients receive safe, effective care in a timely manner reflecting the Trust values. They will be assigned a group of existing staff from the ward and manage their appraisals and sickness. They will also be expected to undertake audits and quality improvement projects relating to the ward.
