Harrow Council- Housing Advice and Assessment Officer

Job role: Driver Operative

Based: Harrow Council Premises

Reporting To: Housing Line Manager

Salary: £14.50 per hour (Temporary ongoing)

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Driver Operative to join our team. As a Driver Operative, you will play a crucial role in street cleansing, emptying litter bins, weed control, horticultural maintenance, grass cutting, hedge cutting, pruning, building cleaning and removal of graffiti and fly tipping.

The Main Purpose of the Job:

Safely operate company vehicles (vans, trucks, etc.) to undertake cleaning tasks.

Loading and unloading items as needed.

Following delivery schedules and routes efficiently.

Maintaining accurate records of tasks undertaken and incidents.

Providing excellent customer service during interactions with residents

About you

The successful applicant will have:

Knowledge of Street Cleansing, Grounds Maintenance or related operations

Experience of operating powered plant and machinery

Be able to work Monday-Friday 6am-14.30pm and possible evening and weekends especially where there is a BH.

Possession of a full, clean UK current driving licence with C1+E entitlement,
