- Salary: 39,000

Qualifications and skillsets:
- Qualification to City & Guilds standard or a recognised NVQ mechanical apprenticeship in vehicle repairs.
- ideally hold a HGV driving license.
- MOT tester for classes 4 & 7.
- Trained in use of diagnostic equipment.
- Practical experience in HGV vehicle maintenance.
- Practical experience in municipal/Local authority vehicle maintenance.
The role itself:
- Inspecting, servicing, maintaining, and repairing HGV vehicles, plant, and equipment
- Prepare vehicles for MOT tests and attend breakdowns, conducting roadside repairs safely.
- Diagnose defects and rectify faults in vehicles and plant.
- Inspect, service, and repair vehicles and equipment
- Interpret technical data, modify vehicles, and adhere to maintenance standards.
