OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to undertake a Full or Part -Time permanent role in Lewes. This exciting opportunity will see you working in an in-house public sector department delivering a first-class occupational health service.
The Role:
This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join the established team of the Occupational Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Service to deliver a professional Occupational Health service for employees. Ensuring the highest standard of clinical care and service are provided, with all employee needs met, and targets achieved, as an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor delivering case management and undertaking health assessments. You will play a crucial role in:
Undertaking face-to-face and telephone case management
Deliver health assessments and surveillance
Provide immunisation clinics
Develop positive relationships and maintain good communication with key stakeholders in the Occupational Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Service whilst collaborating with the wider OH team, and partners
Provide recommendations for service improvements, where appropriate to the Clinical Lead and Head of Service.
Assist with providing robust processes to ensure that health assessments and surveillance are provided, with effective recall processes in place.
Maintain an up to date knowledge of the legislative requirements, Occupational Health guidelines and any changes in practice, in line with the recognised professional bodies
Develop and present departmental presentations and to the services at large when required
Utilise Cohort effectively ensuring accurate input and recall of data and complete reports.
Core Hours 08:30-16:30 4 – 5 cases a day
Required Skills:
To thrive in this Occupational Health Nurse Advisor role, you'll need:
NMC Registration (ideally Part 3)
Ideally qualified to degree or diploma level in Occupational Health
Previous experience in Safety Critical (preferably Blue Lights) Occupational Health Nursing including case management and health surveillance, pre-placement health assessments and advice on fitness for work..
Competency and experience in vaccination, immunisation and venepuncture (training will be provided for the right candidate
Ability to work as an independent practitioner who is confident and competent in practice..
Knowledge of current OH issues and clinical best practices.
Excellent communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.
IT literacy; proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Teams
Salary & Benefits:
In return for your expertise as an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, you will receive:
Salary Circa £43,000 -50,000 DOE (Including Local Pay Supplement – Pro Rata If Part-Time)
