Senior Nursery Practitioner
Nuffield Health Gloucester FWC | Childcare | Fixed Term Contract | Full time
Up to £27,000 per annum, depending on experience
40 hours per week
Our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery is seeking a Senior Nursery Practitioner to be based at Gloucester in our Nuffield Health gym.
As a Senior Nursery Practitioner, you will be part of a team who offer full day care, sessional care plus a Pre-School for children aged from 3 months to 5 years.
We are Ofsted registered and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage. We offer a unique range of wellbeing focused care for children, including swimming and mindfulness, making this a truly unique opportunity.
Responsibilities of a Senior Nursery Practitioner:
Provide a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment for a small group of one age group of children in which the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development of the children is taken into account.
To encourage the children to maintain and develop their own individuality and independence within supportive group care, compensating where necessary for difficulties they might experience within their families.
Provide equipment for play and education and ensure they are linked to the child's areas of development.
Take a lead in planning and assessment of one age group.
Our Ideal Senior Nursery Practitioner:
Will be qualified to a NVQ Level 3 in childcare studies or equivalent.
Have experience in a Nursery setting, and have work with children.
Preferred paediatric first aid qualifications.
All candidate will require an enhanced DBS.
