About the Role
The Digital Department is looking to appoint a suitably qualified, dynamic Teacher of Computing and ICT. Now is an exciting time to join our growing department which offers students the highest standard of Digital education across a variety of courses. FutureSkills@MediaCity boasts outstanding IT facilities, the latest technology, links with both national and local businesses and a strong, supportive department.
The successful applicant will be able to teach Level 1-3 across Computing and Cyber Security and T-Levels. It is also desirable for candidates to possess technical expertise in one or more coding languages and possess an understanding of BTEC. We also require applicants to have:
• A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed).
• A good honours degree in a relevant subject discipline or significant experience within the IT industry.
• Strong knowledge of Network and Security
• Skills in at least one Programming Language, such as C# / C++ or Python.
• Ability to utilise new technologies to engage, inspire and excite students in the subject area.
• A student first, creative, fun and exciting approach to teaching and learning in the classroom.
