Job description
Central Employment is working with a specialist engineering manufacturer based in Cramlington. Due a spate of new business wins they are looking for successful candidates will have completed an HND or a Degree in an Engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering Also they will have experience in a production engineering role, candidates with prior time served experience working within the automotive or a comparable environment would be very attractive to my client
Responsibilities:
- Provide vital engineering support for seamless production progress.
- Lead engineering drawings and BOM production.
- Engineer innovative solutions for repairs and improvements.
- Source parts and technology to enhance production capabilities.
- Conduct grid and quality inspections for timely completion.
- Maintain proactive communication with suppliers.
- Collaborate on technical reports and oversee fault investigations.
- Design and install test equipment, compile technical manuals.
- Oversee fault investigation and testing of new products.
- Collaborate with the sales team, offering technical support.
- Assist the commercial department with part recognition and quotations.
- Ensure work aligns with Quality Systems and Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements:
- HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Solid works.
- Familiarity with Labview and data acquisition tools.
- Experience in fitting, assembly processes, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proven team-working skills with excellent communication.
