Job description

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Newcastle.

We offer a wide-ranging curriculum to our Further Education students, including Arboriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Management, Countryside and the Environment, Engineering, Equine, Floristry, Motorsport, Professional Tree Surgery, Outdoor Adventure Sport, Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness and Uniformed Public Services.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Equine Course Manager with a keen passion for both practical and theory teaching to join our Equine Department here at our York campus. This role will be working 18.5 hours per week, some flexibility may be required.

Educated to degree level or above in a relevant subject, candidates should hold a teaching qualification. With excellent knowledge of Equine health and welfare as well as up to date industry knowledge, you should have a variety of industry experience.


Main Purpose of the role

You will lead on the course management and working closely with the Head of Department/Programme Manager (where appropriate) to drive forward quality and ensure high standards within all elements of the study programme, full cost, community and adult education provision.
