Job description
Balfour Beatty Power Transmission and Distribution has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Lead to join our Power Transmission and Distribution team.
We offer the opportunity for a mix of part-time working from home, and at our main offices.
This role will see supporting the Design and Engineering Director setting the direction and strategy for our in house design teams and our supply chain designers to comply with the latest Net Zero legislation and guidance, and supporting operational teams, project engineers and managers championing best-practice, and helping deliver a culture of continual improvement.

The Environmental Sustainability Team in England and Wales is one family and we work closely to support each other and our project teams to look after our environment and aid project delivery, including a positive working relationship with the wider BBPTD ES community across Scotland.
Balfour Beatty's Power Transmission & Distribution teams work with regional, national and international electricity network owners and operators to provide technical engineering solutions.
With experience and expertise across the full spectrum of the electricity grid our teams have capability across overhead lines, cable tunnels, distribution networks and substations.
From scoping and feasibility, to design, construction and on-going maintenance, our in-house experts, flexible resources and industry-leading innovations support clients in the development of some of the worlds most ambitious power transmission and distribution projects both historically and as we move forward in the 21 st Century.
