Job description
What you will do in your working day
- Reporting to, and working alongside the experienced CNC operator
- Learning and using Alphacam, CNC software to program the machine and schedule work to be efficient, at capacity, accurate, minimising waste
- Interpreting construction drawings to breakdown into CNC components for CNC cutting
- Learning and understanding different tooling for use on the CNC machine
- Maintaining and cleaning tooling, CNC machines and working machinery
- Checking components are produced with accuracy. Checking quality levels are maintained
- Ordering materials, glues, screws for the CNC and generally in the workshop. Stock keeping of materials used
The training you will be getting
- Advanced Level 3 Apprentice Advanced Furniture CNC Technician, including NVQ and functional skills maths and English
