Work under the direction of line manager, to develop and maintain the Craven Cottage Football Pitch and surrounding landscapes. With the target to achieve the highest pitch parameters and maintenance standards expected by the Head Groundsman, Squad Management and Directors of the Club.
Responsibilities (below are example responsibilities but this is not intended as an exhaustive list)
• Ensure that the Craven Cottage is maintained to the highest standard.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Ensure that all machines, tools, equipment, and club properties are maintained appropriately.
• Assist current team with daily procedures which are not limited to Mowing, line marking, aeration, fertilising, top dressing, seeding, pitch light movements.
• As an Apprentice you will, in the main, work alongside our experienced staff who will teach you how to do the wide range of jobs associated with maintaining The Club’s grounds to the highest standard.
• Assist on matchday preparations and post-match works on the pitch.
• Assisting in end of season pitch renovations
Matchday / Weekend work
• Prepare and repair pitch before and after games.
• General maintenance of the pitch, landscapes & maintenance equipment.
• Watering and pitch light movements.
